Seasonal Produce from Local Producers

At UMAMI, quality and flavor are our top priorities. We work exclusively with seasonal ingredients, carefully selected from local producers in the Landes and the Basque Country, to highlight the region’s natural freshness and authentic flavors, ensuring you a memorable culinary experience.

The Villenave Farm

In the heart of the Landes region, in the small town of Tosse, the Villenave family takes pride in their vegetable farming. The first asparagus was planted and harvested 40 years ago, and today the younger generations have taken over the farm, where they grow strawberries, asparagus, potatoes, green beans, and other local produce.

Cheeses and Horizons

Cheeses and Horizons, a dairy, cheese shop, and gourmet deli in Seignosse, where you’ll find specialties combining sliced cheeses, bulk dairy products, and local delicacies to delight your taste buds. Laure will be happy to offer advice and create a custom cheese platter just for you, tailored to your preferences and the season!

Asia Landes

Located in the small town of Tosse, Asia Landes carefully selects Asian products to take you on a culinary journey. Emilie and Fred invite you to discover the rich culture of Asia in a warm and welcoming setting.

Capbreton Fish Market

The fish market at the Port of Capbreton is a must-see. At the foot of the Harbor Master’s Office, the port’s 19 boats offer their catch of the day. Practiced for over seven centuries in Capbreton, the fishing is abundant: sole, sea bream, octopus, hake, pollock, ray, mackerel, meagre… There’s no place where you’ll find fresher products, all sourced directly from local fishermen.

Les Végérariens nursery welcomes you to the heart of the Landes forest, just a stone’s throw from the ocean. A unique place where you’ll find plants from near and far, herbs, vegetable seedlings, seeds, fruit shrubs for gourmet forests, heirloom and rare varieties, as well as subtropical varieties adapted to our climate, all grown without chemicals using natural farming methods.
